Russel Miller
Central Valley, Utah
Russel Miller, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on May 10, 2025, in Central Valley, Utah. Born on April 9, 1936, in Nephi, Utah, to Joseph George and Zenna Memmott Miller. Russel grew up in Scipio, where he graduated from Millard High School.
Throughout his life, Russel dedicated himself to his work and his family. He began his career in construction and transitioned into the swimming pool business, where he owned and managed several pool businesses for 35 years. After marrying his beloved spouse of 69 years, Marcia Kay Memmott, on June 1, 1956, in the Manti Temple, they went on vacation to California, and stayed there for more than 35 years before moving back to Richfield in 1994.
Russel’s life revolved around his family, and he cherished every moment spent with them. He took immense pride in caring for his yard and garden, which reflected his love for nurturing and beauty. His commitment to his faith was profound; he actively served in the church, holding positions as a sealer in the temple and as a patriarch. He truly loved going to the temple and found great joy in serving the Lord.
Russel leaves behind his loving wife, Marcia Kay Memmott Miller, and their children; Mauna (Douglas G) Kirkham and Machaelle (Terry) Ford. He also leaves a legacy of love through his siblings, Marlin (Linda) Miller, the late Ellis Miller (Elaine), Que (Linda) Miller, and Teresa Clark.
Russel will be sorely missed by his grandchildren, Tricia (Brandon) Boulton, Kurt (Joy) Kirkham, Brett (Alicia) Kirkham, Elyssa Lott, Chandler Jackson, Matlin Ford, and Savannah Jackson, the late Britteny Jackson, as well as his 14 great-grandchildren, who brought him endless joy and happiness.
Russel’s life was a testament to hard work, family devotion, and faithful service. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched.
