Sandra Dolores Julander

Sandra was born on May 29, 1942 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Dolores Alba Brown and Clyde Kirkman. She passed away on August 16, 2026, in Richfield, Utah.

After growing up in the Salt Lake Valley with her mother and 4 sisters, Sandy married the love of her life, Donald Boyd Julander, on November 5, 1971 (later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple on September 13, 1991). She moved to Marysvale, Utah, and became a mother to Don’s 5 children. They soon added 2 more children: their daughter Robyn and son Michael.

Sandy was an active member of the LDS church throughout her life. She loved spending time with her family and friends and was often referred to as the “fun grandma”. She loved to cook and bake. She was a natural caregiver and always offered a meal to those who visited her, no matter the time of day. She was known for her amazing apple pies, which she made from scratch with the apples from the small orchard in her yard. She also had the best raspberry and blackberry patches, which the kids and grandkids enjoyed picking from during their visits. She enjoyed crafting and making handmade gifts for family and friends. She loved going for rides in the mountains near her home, watching the deer in her yard, and traveling to new places. In her later years, she had the opportunity to travel to Hawaii and said it was the funnest time she ever had. She had a passion for old cars, anything Elvis, and playing her guitar.

She is survived by her children: Jeff (Clarissa) Julander, John (Kathy) Julander, Lorraine Julander, Bruce Julander, Heather (Mo) Atkin, Robyn Julander, and Michael (Michelle) Julander; 2 sisters: Kathleen Hintze and Paula (Chet) Grimm; 15 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sisters: Tina and Karen, and 3 grandsons: Jason Julander, Joey Julander and Tyler Utley.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 31, 2026, at 12:00 noon in the Marysvale Ward Chapel, with a viewing prior to services from 10:30-11:30 AM. Burial will be in the Marysvale Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina, and Manti
