S. Clark Christensen

October 23, 1935 — December 25, 2020

Clark Christensen
Elsinore, Utah

Sherwin Clark Christensen, 85, Elsinore, passed away peacefully December 25, 2020, at his home, with his loving wife, Norma, by his side. Clark was born October 23, 1935, Elsinore to Emeron and Inga Kathleen Christensen. He was the youngest of five children. He spent his young life helping his dad on the farm. He loved farming and kept it as his main occupation for most of his life. He also worked for the Fish Lake National Forest and UDOT.

Clark married Kathryn Dee Nielson, January 19, 1956, and had three beloved children, Michelle, Natalie, and Michael. They later divorced.  On March 21, 1990, Clark married the love of his life, Norma Stringham Reynolds, and inherited three daughters, Debbie, Sandi, and Sheri. They were happily married for over 30 years.

Clark loved working with the youth and was a Little League Coach for many years. He served on the Elsinore City Council and was instrumental in building the baseball dugout for the park. He also worked to beautify the Elsinore Cemetery. Clark was a member of the Elks Club where he served as Exalted Ruler. Clark also drove a school bus for Sevier School District and enjoyed mingling with the children, teachers, and other bus drivers.

A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Clark served as Scoutmaster and Athletic Director. He also served as bishop’s councilor for Elsinore Ward and loved working with the youth. He and Norma often had a house full of Young Men and Young Women for parties, playing snooker and table shuffleboard. Clark later served as High Councilman for the Monroe Utah Stake. Clark and Norma served as ordinance workers in the Manti Temple two days a week for six years where they made many eternal friends.
Clark looked forward to visits from all his children and grandchildren. His grandchildren always liked to go out to feed the cows with grandpa. Clark was a great storyteller, keeping everyone entertained with stories of his life. He was loving, kind, gentle, and resourceful. His loving example will have a ripple effect for eternity. His family and extended family will truly miss Clark’s hugs.

Clark is survived by his wife, Norma, Elsinore; children: Michelle Kellee, Los Angeles, CA; Natalie and Greg Sorensen, Salina; Debbie and Paul Farnsworth, San Antonio, TX; Sandi and John Sabin, Kaysville; Sheri and Walt Becker, Mansfield, TX; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Rex (JoAnn) Christensen, Salina; and sister-in-law, Cherie Christensen, Elsinore.
