    Sterling Edner Chalk passed away April 7, 2024 in Clovis, CA. Sterling was born in Richfield on June 10, 1938.  He married Anna Jean Adams on February 14, 1964 in Mesa, Arizona. 
    Retired from 40+ Years as a HVAC: Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning contractor in Arizona and California, Sterling was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local Union 104 in San Jose, California. He was a U.S. Army veteran in the Corp of Engineers. 
    Sterling was active in school sports: football, baseball and swimming. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. A dedicated husband, father and friend to all. Upon retiring he was most content to live his dream of raising cattle and ranching.
    Sterling is survived by his wife, Anna Chalk; children:  John Chalk, Cindy (Greg) Birnie, Debbie Cabral-Chalk, Ben Chalk; 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Marcia (Stephen) Wade (Marcia passed 7 days after Sterling); sister-in-law, Kaye Chalk. 
    He is also preceded in death by his parents, Edner “Ted” and Daisy Knaphus Chalk; son, Frank Chalk; grandsons, Blake Birnie, Bryan Birnie; and siblings: Dixie (Glenn) Taylor, and Fred Chalk.
    Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the Magleby Mortuary Chapel, 50 South, 100 West, Richfield, Utah 84701. Viewing at the mortuary from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Monroe Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti. Online guestbook at www.maglebymortuary.com
