J Stevan “Steve” Jorgensen, 77, of Lindon, Utah, passed away unexpectedly on August 11, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness that will be cherished forever.
Born on February 2, 1949, in Richfield, Utah, Steve was the beloved son of J Sharland and Lola Jensen Jorgensen. He spent most of his youth in Richfield before moving to Marysville, Kansas, in 1963. After graduating from the University of Kansas School of Pharmacy in 1972, he fulfilled his career as a dedicated pharmacist, serving his community with care, knowledge, and compassion, before retiring.
Life took Steve to many places across the states of Georgia, Kansas, Nevada and Utah — and in each, he built lasting relationships and created memories that will be treasured by all who knew him.
Above all, Steve was a proud son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather. His family was his greatest joy, and he never missed an opportunity to show off their pictures or boast about their milestones, achievements, and everyday moments.
He lived life with a raw sense of adventure and a deep appreciation for simple pleasures — boating on a sunny day, camping under the stars, hiking scenic trails, skiing down snowy slopes, savoring a delicious meal, watching a good movie, cheering on the KU Jayhawks, breaking out in song, and spending quality time with the people he loved most.
Those who knew him will remember his unique sense of humor, his ability to charm a room, his giving nature, and his way of making everyone feel welcome. Steve is survived by Catherine Jorgensen (former spouse), and their children, Jill (Christopher) Henry, Jerrick (Kathryn) Jorgensen; Marianne Sampson (former spouse), along with their children, Kellie (Trevor) Wartenberg, Kristin Jorgensen, and stepchildren, Marshal (Sara) Nix and Leslie Nix. Additional surviving family members include grandchildren, Katelin and Jon “Connor” Henry, Brayden and Kevin Jorgensen, Lily and Scarlett Wartenberg; step-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Benjamin Nix, Johnathan and Ella Fuentes; siblings, Sharla (James) Shafer, Sharon Thompson, Sharee (Kent Torson) Jorgensen, Scott (Jody) Jorgensen, James “Sandy” (Tracy) Jorgensen, along with many other extended relatives and friends.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, J Sharland and Lola (Jensen) Jorgensen; an infant daughter, Julie, and infant brother, Joseph Samuel. A visitation will be held at 10:30 -11:30 am on August 22, 2026, at Magleby Mortuary at 50 S 100 W, Richfield, Utah, followed by a graveside service at the Sigurd Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the University of Kansas in memory of Steve. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Saline, Manti
