    Stewart "Bert" Rasmussen, 88,  of Centerfield, passed away at the Gunnison hospital on May 14, 2023. He was born on July 28, 1934 in Fairview to Winnie and Francis Rasmussen.  He was the middle child of nine. Bert grew up in Fairview and graduated from North Sanpete High School. After high school, he joined the Army, and served in the Korean War. After returning from military service, he married Sandra Nielson in 1958. They had six daughters, JoAnna Madsen, Laurie Rasmussen, Leesa Martinez , Ally Tucker, Gretchen Nunley and Heidi Johnson. They later divorced. In 1982 he married Connie Oakeson and gained two bonus daughters from that union: Jody Meza, Marni Erickson.
    He is survived by his wife of 41 years; six children; sister, Helen Unger; and enough grandchildren and great-grandchildren to have one heck of a water fight. 
    Bert loved his family including his 2 fur babies, Maggie and Paco, fishing, camping, driving truck until 77 years old and only retired because he could not get his boots on and get in the truck.
