Sue Whitehead

Paula Sue Whitehead was born November 29, 1943 in Tremonton, Utah. She passed away August 2, 2026 in Centerfield, Utah. Roy O Gibbs and Emma John Gibbs were he proud parents.

She lived in the town of Portage for a while, then moved to Hunter when she was seven years old. Sue enjoyed her high school years at Cyprus High School in Magna. Music was one of her great talents. She played saxophone and bass fiddle in the band. She also had a beautiful alto voice, and she sang in a trio with her high school friends. Another special talent she had was painting. We all loved the paintings she would share with us.

After graduating from high school, her goal was to become a beautician at Hollywood Beauty College. She graduated and did well at doing hair.

Shortly after she met a cute guy by the name of Paul Whitehead (Pete for short). They dated for a while and Pete decided this was the right girl for him so they got married on July 24, 1963. On February 14, 1966 they sealed their love for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple.

They both wanted children and they were blessed with four wonderful children. Troy and his wife live in Altamont, Utah.. Sandi and her husband Mike reside in Wasila, Alaska. Lynn and his wife Monica live in Juneau Alaska, and Camille lives in Virginia.

She loves her 14 grandchildren and is so proud of each one of them. She also has six great-grandchilren.

Sue was very active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Serving as Relief Society President, Primary President, Young Women Teacher, and she worked in the Scouting program for many years.

She was always doing service for others where ever there was a need. You could always count on her to volunteer, whether it was baking cookies for the homeless or teaching her grandchildren to drive or make dinner for friends. She was a happy home maker.

Her brother Terry, her sister Pam, and her mom and dad loved it when she took time to come to Utah to see them.

We loved our shopping trips and lunch time discussions with our mom.

No doubt we are all so very blessed to have our Sue as a daughter, mother, wife, sister, grandmother, and friend. She will be greatly missed as she progresses to be with her family and friends. We love you Sue.

Funeral Services will be held Friday August 7, 2026 in the Centerfield Church at 11:30 a.m. A viewing be held prior to services from 10:30-11:00. Burial will be in the Centerfield Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti
