Von E Durfee
October 18, 1945 — March 2, 2011
No farewell words were spoken, no time to say goodbye, you were gone before we knew it, and only the Lord knows why.
Von was a caring and devoted father. Known as "Big Durf", Von was the first person to lend a helping hand, Von lived life around his family and he will be missed by all.
Survived by children: Brett Von (Rebecca) Durfee, Seattle, WA; Jeremy Emmett (Jamie) Durfee, Daytona Beach, FL; Bernice Ronehorse Yazzie, Windowrock, New Mexico; Melissa Thacker and Malinda Lyla Durfee, both of Las Vegas, NV; Samuel Legrande Durfee, Elsinore; Danial Andrew Durfee and Joseph Edmund (Melissa) Durfee, both of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Cayson, Collin, Julianna and James; brothers, Shelby LeGrande Durfee and Merlin H (Julie) Durfee, both of Aurora; step-brother, LaVell (Debbie) Barney, Elsinore; step-sisters, Shauna (Deloy) Conder, Pleasant Grove, Sondra (Dick) Garrett, of Midvale.
Preceded in death by parents, Emmett Vaughn and Lyla Sephia Huffaker Durfee; sister; Mary Durfee; step-father, Delbert Barney.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Aurora 2

Ward from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Aurora Cemetery with military rites by the Salina American Legion Post #36. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
