William Keith Jensen, age 86, of Mayfield, UT, passed away at his home on February 19, 2026. Born at the family home on December 29, 1939, Bill was the last child of Royal Welcome and Venessa Hill Jensen. He married Karen Lee Larsen, of River Heights, UT, on September 25, 1967, in St. Anthony, ID. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls temple.

Bill graduated from Gunnison High School, received an associate degree from Snow College, and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry from Utah State University.

Bill started his professional career as a forester on the Targhee National Forest in St. Anthony, ID. He then worked on the Salmon National Forest in Idaho, the Galatin National Forest in Montana, and the Winema National Forest in Oregon, where he was the Fire Management Officer on the Chemult District. After nearly 40 years with the US Forest Service, Bill retired and returned to Mayfield, where they built their final home. Family members include his wife Karen, daughter Tracy Lyn Kempton (Darin Kempton) Lebanon, OR, son Scott L. Jensen (April) Springville, UT, daughter Robin Powell (Drew) Amarillo, TX, son Brian Keith Jensen (Misty) Idaho Falls, ID, 16 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren, and his sisters Phyllis Gregerson Gunnison, UT, and Alice Maxine (Mickey) Lehi, UT.

Bill wished to donate his body to the University of Utah School of Medicine to aid in medical research. For this reason, his internment in the Mayfield City Cemetery will be at a later date. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 AM in the Mayfield Ward Cultural Hall on Saturday, March 14, 2026.
