Xander Darrell Vincent, a shining light in the world. beloved son, brother, and friend, left this world on July 16, 2025, at the tender age of 10, in his hometown of Gunnison, Utah. Born on January 13, 2015, Xander brought joy, laughter, and warmth to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His spirit will forever echo in the hearts of those who loved him.
From an early age, Xander demonstrated a passion for learning that stood out amongst his peers. A proud mathlete, he dreamt of becoming a math teacher, driven by his love for numbers and the joy of sharing knowledge. His curiosity knew no bounds as he eagerly embraced learning in all its forms. Xander’s tender heart and unconditional love for others made him a friend to all, and he truly never met a stranger.
An avid sports fan, Xander had a special affinity for soccer, idolizing Cristiano Ronaldo, and he was known for his natural athleticism across various sports. His favorite musician, Jelly Roll, often provided the soundtrack to his adventures, as he enjoyed trading Pokémon cards with classmates and creating memories during moments of play. Xander brought friends and family together with his infectious enthusiasm for life.
Xander shared an extraordinary bond with his big brother Cooper. Their adventures were filled with laughter as they explored the great outdoors through hiking, biking, and fishing, always side by side. He was fiercely protective of Cooper, representing a steadfast and loving companion who would reach heights for him and offer support when needed. Xander's role as Cooper's little brother was played with fervor and devotion; he was his arms when not tall enough to reach and his strength when challenges arose.
He also enjoyed experiences like camping, swimming, and the thrill of biking to "the G," illuminating every outing with his bright smile and unwavering enthusiasm. His adventurous spirit was matched only by his kindness, which drew people to him and encouraged them to see the good in everyone.
Xander's proudest achievements were his accomplishments in mathematics and his ability to connect with others. He embraced friendliness and exuded love unconditionally, serving as a beacon of light, illuminating dark corners with exceptional grace and sincerity. Even at such a young age, he taught the valuable lesson of compassion and understanding, traits that will remain etched in the hearts of those who knew him.
Xander is survived by his loving parents, Heather Y Vincent and Zane Steven Vincent; his siblings, Hunter Vincent, Paizlei Vincent, and Cooper Vincent; and his cherished grandparents, Valarie and Burke Black and Ron and Janice Vincent.
