The family of Darwin Reed Brady is saddened to announce his passing on Tuesday, September 7th at the age of 79. He was born Nov 8, 1941, in Salt Lake City Utah to Lloyd Frank Brady and Bertha Howell Brady. The day he was blessed, Pearl Harbor was bombed. He was the oldest of 6 children: two sisters, Diana Coleman (Harold) and Tanya Bender (Doyle), and 3 brothers, Frank (Lynette), Scott (Carolyn) and Ned. The family moved to Fairview, UT, where he started school, then to North Las Vegas where he would watch the mushroom clouds from the nuclear testing site at Nellis AFB during recesses. He graduated from North Phoenix High School. Then served a mission in the Boston, Mass. Mission.

Darwin met his first wife, Audrey, in Phoenix and they were married in Salt Lake in 1967.  While living in Arizona, Darwin & Audrey had 3 kids: Craig (Rena), Danny (Jeana) and Ronda.   Upon completing his bachelor’s degree in psychology at ASU, Darwin worked at CPS (Child Protective Services) in several cities throughout Arizona (Phoenix, Scottsdale, Kingman, Flagstaff) throughout the 70s, 80s, and 90s.   Darwin also served in the Army National Guard in Arizona for 2 years.

Darwin met Sue Anne Staples at a church dance in Springville, UT in 1995. They married on August 1, 1997 and resided in Richfield, UT where Darwin worked as a social worker, sold real estate, and was an investor. Darwin and Sue loved to travel and visited places such as Alaska, Central America, and England.

Darwin is survived by his loving wife Sue Anne; his two sisters, three brothers, two sons, daughter and seven grandchildren.   He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Magleby Mortuary Chapel, 50 South 100 West, Richfield, UT, at 11:00 a.m. Friends may call from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. prior to the services. Burial will be in the Fairview City Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. with military honors by the Mount Pleasant VFW Post #9276/ American Legion and The Utah Honor Guard. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
