Joan Holman Bryce, 86, passed away February 10, 2020 in Richfield. She was born July 7, 1933 in Sugarville, Utah to Noble Ray and Anna Elizabeth Keenan Holman. She married Darrell Edward Bryce October 8, 1953 in the Mesa, Arizona Temple.

During WWII Joan’s family moved to California. Joan attended Compton High School. It was there she met Darrell Bryce, her future husband. He was serving in the US Air Force. After their marriage, they lived in Salina, KS and San Antonio, TX. When her husband was transferred to England, Joan followed him. While in England their first son, Walter, was born. After his discharge, they moved back to southern California. Two years later they moved Wilcox, AZ. While living there, their second son, Edward, was born. In 1958 they moved back to southern California. After retirement they moved to Monroe, UT in 1990.

Joan was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from her early teens through the rest of her life. She served in various callings in all the auxiliaries. She and her husband were temple workers in the Los Angeles and the Manti Temples.

Joan enjoyed gardening, artistic painting, sewing, and loving her children.

Survived by her husband; sons: Walter H (Diane) Bryce, Rialto, CA; and Edward D. (Debra) Bryce, Ewa Beach, HI; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; sisters: Geri Sambrano and Sharon Ann Holman, both of Hemet, CA.

Preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Arline (Richard) Crismon, Bonnie Rae (Gene) Lowry; brother-in-law, Robert Sambrano.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the Monroe 2nd Ward Chapel, 140 South Main, where friends may call from 12:00 Noon to 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Monroe City Cemetery.
