Karen Lee Allred Nielson, 78, of Ephraim, UT, passed away on September 26, 2021 in Salt Lake City, UT.  Karen was born on July 18, 1943 in Park City, UT to Lee and Leah Alleen Sprouse Allred.
Karen attended schools in Roosevelt and later graduated from LDS Business College.  She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many callings.  She was active in scouting and loved having her boys in scouts.  She married her sweetheart, Soren Melvin Nielsen on July 18, 1974 in Provo, UT.  Karen and Soren served in the Manti Temple as ordinance workers for 8 years.  This experience was a highlight of her life.
Karen is survived by her husband, Soren; sons, Soren Jason (Rebecca) Nielsen and Bjorn L (Sabrina) Nielsen; 3 grandsons and 3 granddaughters; sisters, Earleen Smart and Angela Turner.  She was preceded in death by her parents.
