Our beautiful loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, Lois Kay Thompson Snow, 78, of Ephraim, UT, passed away on January 24, 2020 in Ogden, UT due to complications from pneumonia and heart failure. She was born on November 10, 1941 in Manti, UT to Eloise Freckelton Thompson and James Ralph Thompson of Sterling, UT. She was raised on a farm in Sterling and had a very happy childhood and was loved and adored by her 3 older brothers. At the age of 14 she moved with her family to Salt Lake City, UT and attended and graduated from West High School.

Lois met Jay Snow when she was 15 years old. After high school they were married in the Salt Lake Temple on June 24, 1960. They have three children: Russell, Wendi, Melanie. After 57 wonderful years together her sweetheart Jay passed away on December 13, 2017 and she has missed him dearly.

Mom loved people and always had and kept a positive attitude and kind disposition right to the end.

She worked at the Ephraim Elementary for 6 years and at the LDS Institute of Religion for 16 years where she touched many lives and was known as the match maker. She served faithfully in all the different callings she had over the years and especially has great memories of the years serving in the stake Young Women’s. Mom has a great love for the gospel and her Savior Jesus Christ. Nine months after Jay passed away, she moved to an assisted living center in Ogden where she was blessed to make many new friends. Mom loved living in Ephraim for 48 years surround by friends and family.

Lois is survived by her children, Russell J (Lori) Snow, Mesa, AZ; Wendi Kae (Jeff) Jorgensen, South Ogden, UT; Melanie K. (David) Hill, Manti, UT; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Bruce Thompson; sisters-in-law, Nancy (Van) Neilson, Lorna Snow; brother-in-law, Bob Kidd.

Lois was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Lee R and Jimmy; sisters-in-law, Laura Fae Thompson, Afton Thompson, Shirley Kidd; nephews: Scott and Wayne Kidd.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the Ephraim 4th /5th Ward Building, 723 S. 100 East. Viewings will be held at the church on Friday, January 31 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and prior to services on Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Sterling Cemetery.
