Lynn M. Koyle

Richfield, Utah

Lynn Merrill Koyle 82, of Richfield, Utah, was born on September 11, 1938 in Spanish Fork, UT to Merrill Scoville Koyle and Mary Dee Smith, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2020 in Payson, UT. On July 20, 1962 he married Maretta Ashby, his forever companion. The were sealed in the Manti Temple on that special day and have enjoyed many happy years together. Through the good and the bad, they always had each other. Together they raised six beautiful children with whom they shared all their love, values, and qualities. We are so blessed to have had his amazing example to learn from and live by.

Lynn was well known and loved in this community. He served in many positions in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He worked for the Natural Resource Conservation Service for 35 years, served in the military for almost 40 years, and was a member of the Sevier County Search and Rescue. He put his heart, soul, and sarcasm into everything he did. He was loved by everyone and received with a smile everywhere he went. His taunting and teasing will be missed by all.

His wife and family were his life. He would do anything for any of us, no matter the time of day. We were all "rescued" in the middle of the night by Dad at some point in our lives.

You are a hero to us all, we love and miss you already!

Lynn is survived by his wife Maretta; children: Jeff (Valerie) Koyle, Clinton; Bonnie (John) Pello, Preston, ID; Greg (Lydia) Koyle, Bluffdale; Marjorie Asay, Payson; Mindy (Joe) Creviston, Mona; 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister and brother-in-law, Beatrice (Leray) Warren; daughter, Sandra Dee Koyle; son-in-law, Preston Asay; grandchildren: Jessica Ann Koyle and Geremy Koyle.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Mountain View Hospital staff for the kindness, patience, and generosity given during the final hours of our father’s life.
