Patricia Nona Walker Yero, age 80, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2021 at the Mission of Community Living in Centerfield, Utah surrounded by her family.  Pat was born in Beaver, Utah on March 15, 1940 to Marion Henry and Janet Marie Rollins Walker. She is survived by her four siblings: Karen (Dave) Griffiths, Richard (Paula) Walker, Thomas (Carol) Walker, and Michael Walker.

Pat married Carlyle Nelson Stott on February 13, 1958 and together they had five children: Tamera (Duke) Atwood, Stephanie (Tad) Lowe, Phillip (Tina) Stott, Heidi (Hal) Peck and Karen Robinson. On July 3, 1970 she married Terrence Yero and had her youngest child Jaimi (Ryan) Nielson. She was the grandmother to 18 grandchildren: Taunya (Allistair) Potts, Trisha (Edd Hammill) Atwood, Michael Stott, Brenna Stott, JR (Korilynn) Vandyke, Eric Vandyke, Kylie Lowe, Casey Lowe, Trevor Byington, Amanda Byington, Terra L’Allier, Israel Torres, Jake Robinson, Tyler Berry, Kody Berry, Kyle Berry, Owen Nielson and Olive Nielson. She was also “Aunt Pat” to many including Dave, Ben, Hank, Elora Garcia (Couper) and Zoey Walker.

Pat attended college at Utah State University. She worked for the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and also at Pipe Springs National Monument for many years. She enjoyed painting, reading, drawing portraits, improving her home and walking her beloved dog, Mira. She enjoyed many adventures and lived across the globe including Spain, Alaska, Idaho, and Utah.

Pat had a listening ear for all and created levity and light with her wit and impeccable sense of humor. She could often be found at the center of a gathering “moonwalking”, dancing, and telling stories—basically “stealing the show” with her charm and vivacious personality. She always had time (and a meal) for her guests and was eager to share her well-informed opinions of politics and world events. In doing so, she had many friends, enlightening them with thought-provoking conversation.

A celebration of life will be held in Pat’s honor at Angels Landing in Kanab Canyon (5001 Angel Canyon Road), Kanab, Utah on Saturday, February 27 at 1 p.m. Please watch for directional signage (note: no seating or facilities).

Pat desired to be cremated with her remains lovingly spread across the red rocks of Utah in which she called home. A memorial will be placed in her honor in the Milford, Utah Cemetery beside her mother and father.

We will all celebrate the gifts that your life and love brought to us. We’ll cherish our many memories of you, our “tiniest” mom, sister, aunt and grandma. May your new adventure take you to a wonderful place with socializing, dancing, painting and red rocks – a place full of love, laughter and an endless supply of Coca Cola.
