Ted R. Behunin

Redmond, Utah

Ted Raymond Behunin, 67, passed away September 7, 2021 at his home in Redmond.  He was born November 16, 1953 in Price, Utah to Homer and JoAnne Marie Bowser Behunin.

Ted grew up in Redmond where his family owned a rock shop.  He enjoyed rock hounding with his family where they spent a lot of time on the desert collecting all kinds of different things.

He had a great love for his country.  In the spring of 1972, he aced his GED test so he could graduate early and follow his dream of joining the U.S. Navy.

After his return from the Navy, he drove truck for many years for Pioneer Wholesale until a back injury prevented him from driving.

He was known for his love of hunting, camping and fishing.  He spent many days at Rex’s Reservoir, trying to catch “The Big One”.

He enjoyed wood working and building things for people.  Many family members have a piece of furniture that he has build for them.  He loved his family, many nieces and nephews have been “tagged” with a special nick name given just to them from their loving uncle.

Ted enjoyed help out whenever his family needed him.  Whether it was picking something up or taking someone to an appointment or just lending a listening ear while having a donut and a drink, he was always there.

Surviving him is his son, Cody (Jessica) Behunin of Seville, Ohio; grandchildren: Azlynn, Landon, Brynlee and Addison; siblings: James Leroy Behunin and Stephanie (Kenneth) Ball, both of Redmond, Carma Lynn Scott of Salina.   He is preceded in death by his beloved dog, Cali;  his parents; sister, Verty Anne Behunin.
