Obituary

Bill Gardner
Richfield, Utah

William T. “Bill” Gardner, 78, our beloved dad, grandfather and friend passed away peacefully at home on January 9, 2021, with his buddy Bruiser by his side after a valiant fight with cancer.  Bill was born to Tell and Arabella Atkin Gardner on April 21,1942 in Richfield, Utah.

Bill spent his life building his CPA practice to provide the best life possible for his family.  He truly treasured the friendships and relationships he formed through his years serving his clients. His devotion to his work was shown by him  working up until his death with his granddaughter by his side.

In his early years he owned a cabin at Fish Lake where his family and friends made many memories playing games, eating his famous tacos, and going for evening walks.  For the last 15 years, Bill spent every summer on the beautiful Monroe mountain at his property with his family.  He would keep himself busy puttering on projects for his cabin, feeding the chipmunks, elk and deer, and going for OHV rides.  He loved to tinker with wood, building any sort of project he could come up with.  His cabin will always be a place we can remember him by looking around and seeing all his handiwork.

If there was an adventure to be had with family and friends, he was all in, whether it was hunting, boating, cheering on grandchildren, or just hanging out.  Many memories were made with family going on fishing trips to Alaska.  For the past 30 years Cabo was a second home to him.  He enjoyed sharing the culture of what Cabo had to offer with his family and friends.  He served many years on the board of directors and was influential in making Marina Sol what it is today.

He is survived by his children: Kari (Michael) Carter, Corri (Ernie) Robinson, Brayden (Kirby) Gardner, and Kayden Gardner; 7 grandchildren and 2 great- grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son Todd Gardner; previous spouses: Ann Alee Spafford Gardner and Patricia Sargent Gardner; and sisters: Carolyn Lane and Jillene (Steven) Nielson.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to cancer research.
