Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Yvonne Aiken Howell, 87, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 12, 2018, at the Beehive Home Care Center in Draper, Utah. She graduated from North Sanpete High School and later attended Snow College.

Yvonne’s life was defined by her service and love to her family. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was always ready with a smile and a willingness to help out when needed. She enjoyed civic service, was a member of the Manti Jaycees, the PTA, and in 1973 served as the vice president of the American Legion Auxiliary. In 1970 she was hired as the Deputy Sanpete County Assessor, and began her service as County Assessor in January of 1979, where she served until her retirement in July of 1994. She loved working with the people; made lifetime friends there, and was well known by many of the Sanpete County residents. During that time she continued to support her children in their various activities, including sports, pageants, recitals, etc, as well as welcoming many grandchildren into the family.

Yvonne was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and willingly served wherever she was called. She was especially supportive of her husband in his service as a bishop of the Manti Third Ward.
