Anna Marie Snedeger

July 19, 1934 — November 27, 2021

Anna Snedeger
Richfield, Utah

Anna Marie Forsey Nielsen Snedeger, daughter of James G. and Lillian Forsey, returned to her Heavenly Home on November 27, 2021, at age 87. At the time of her passing, she was surrounded by family on both sides of the veil. She will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her. Anna was born on July 19, 1934, in Richfield, Utah; and other than a few short years in Montana, Richfield was her hometown.

Anna LOVED life and she lived it! She loved everything about the great outdoors, camping, hunting, fishing, boating, cooking, biking – all of it. She loved playing (and winning) cards with her friends and family. These past several years she has won the title of Rummy Queen. Anna was an amazing cook and candy maker – absolutely the best 4-C Bar maker. Professionally, Anna co-owned and operated the Magic Mirror Beauty Salon, and did hair for over 35 years. She was president of Jay-C-Ettes 1963-64, and Ladies of Elks president 1974-75. Anna served in the Relief Society presidency and many other callings which she loved in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved attending the temple and serving others. No matter what time of day, or who showed up at her door, she always fed them.  She was kind, patient, funny, talented, supportive, compassionate, caring and most of all loving. She was so grateful for everyone and was always so good at expressing gratitude to everyone who did anything for her.

Anna is survived by her husband, Mark Snedeger, married in the Manti Temple November 14, 1998; her daughters: Teresa (Jim Dutson), Tina (Lee Sorensen), Tonya (Brad Christensen), Teri (Tim Morgan), Karen Edwards;Mark’s son, Russell Snedeger; sister, Phyllis F. Horne; sisters-in-law, Meredith Snedeger, Alice Snedeger. She also leaves 35 grandchildren, 90 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, extended family, and friends that dearly loved her.

She was preceded in death by her first husband of 43 years, Nile Nielsen (married August 28, 1952, solemnized in the Manti Temple on January 16, 1963); son, Russell Nielsen; daughters: Linda and Brenda; grandson, Dale Nielsen; sons-in-law, Van Reed Madsen, Brain Edwards; parents; siblings: James K.(Joyce) Forsey, Marcille (Bill) Topham;  Mark’s sons, Cory and Jeff Snedeger; brother-law Michael Snedeger; sister-in-law Marlene Anderson; and her dog, Buddy.
