Elwin Hoyle, 85, finally retired July 23, 2019 in Mesquite, NV. He was born January 5, 1934 in Glenwood to James Sr. and Ann Marsden Hoyle. He married the love of his life, Nancy Lee Gleave May 27, 1953 in the Manti Temple. They enjoyed 66 years together.

Elwin graduated from Richfield High School in 1952, after which he joined the National Guard. He started his career with State Farm Insurance in 1954 as an agent, later becoming an agency manager. He retired after 40 years, but retirement didn’t last long as he opened his own insurance agency, Hoyle Agency, Inc., which kept him busy through the remainder of his life.

Elwin actively served his community as mayor of Annabella for over a decade in addition to various other leadership roles. This in addition to taking care of his family, his beautiful yard and farm.

Survived by his wife, Nancy; children: Kathy Arnold, Murray; Elwin Robert "Eddie" Hoyle, Ogden; grandchildren: Jesse (Kimberly) Washburn, Ashley Stebbins, Skyler Hoyle, Hilary (Jessie) Hall, Brandi (Cody) Hatch; 6 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents; great-granddaughter, Addrina Lyn Hall; siblings: James (Wana) Hoyle Jr., Margaret (Deloy) Bown, Richard (Beverly) Hoyle.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 29, 2019 at 12:00 Noon in the Annabella 1st Ward Chapel where friends may call on Monday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Annabella Cemetery with military honors by the Utah National Guard.
