LouConne Nuffer

August 9, 1936 — November 18, 2021

LouConne Nuffer
Manti, Utah

Our dear angel mother, LouConne Larson Nuffer, 85, returned to her heavenly home November 18, 2021 in Aurora, Colorado. LouConne was born August 9, 1936, in Salt Lake City Utah to David Conrad Larson and Louise Simmons Larson. Her name was a combination of her parents’ names Louise and Conrad, and she carried her name proudly as it represented the true love between her parents. LouConne was preceded in death by her sweetheart Lynn Terry Nuffer, her parents Louise and Conrad Larson, and her third son David Joseph Nuffer. She is survived by Michael Lynn Nuffer (Mike) Providence, RI; Richard Terry Nuffer (Kaye), Salt Lake City; Rebecca Patane (Moroni), Aurora, CO; Karen Seely (Donny) Mt. Pleasant; Douglas Paul Nuffer (Penny), Herriman; and Jeffrey Allen Nuffer (Melody), Aurora, CO. She was blessed with 21 grandchildren and  32 great-grandchildren.

LouConne had a special love for her ancestors and worked tirelessly getting to know their stories and get their saving ordinances done for them. She was an avid reader and loved everything about books: the smell, the feel of the pages and especially the content that she could fill her mind with. She was well versed in the scriptures and half of her 10,000 books (give or take) were written by religious authors. She loved to tell stories when her family got together and especially a Swedish tale handed down from her grandfather titled “Der Rumstickabum”. Everyone loved to hear her tell the story. Another special story that she will be remembered by was a tale she read to her children every Christmas titled “A Candle in the Forest”.

LouConne was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many callings. Her love for her Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ was immeasurable. The Church was her first priority coming in second only to her dedication and love for her family. She and her sweetheart served a two-year mission in Lansing Michigan where they served in the office of the mission president. They both loved serving the Lord and his children.

LouConne was a very kind and loving person. She would give or do anything for anyone. She loved to sew and made many clothes and pajamas for her children. She loved the time that she spent sewing and repairing costumes for the Mormon Miracle Pageant that was performed on the Manti Temple hill for many years. She also sewed many things for extended family.

She was also a great cook. She only made her food from scratch and had many family recipes passed down from her loved ones. Her specialty to make for her kids, their friends, her grandchildren, and great grandchildren was Swedish Pancakes. She loved to cook for her loved ones and anyone that would come to eat. She always enjoyed making fresh donuts for Halloween to hand out to the trick or treaters.

LouConne loved to sing silly songs with her children and grandchildren while they were riding in the car to help pass the time. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. We are sure that she would say to tell anyone reading this obituary, “I love you dear”.
